Relationships

I work with individuals, not couples - to help clarify their relationship values, understand how to set boundaries, and improve their communication with others. Relationships can be with a long term committed relationship partner, parents, siblings, friends, or coworkers.

To improve your functioning in a relationship, ask yourself what kind of partner, parent, sibling, or friend do I want to be? How would that look like in action? What are my relationship goals? Clarifying relationship goals and values is important because they serve as a compass.

Similarly, it’s just as important to know when to set relationship boundaries to protect your mental health. Setting necessary boundaries keeps you in relationships in a healthy and sustainable way. Contrary to popular beliefs, social parameters can be set with care and love and definitely not to be mean. If you have unresolved and ongoing relationship stress, consider chatting with a therapist to see what you can do to improve it. I have experience traversing these vexing and tricky situations, and together - we can design and implement an actionable plan.
